1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to game and fish; providing support for the Lessard Outdoor Heritage
1.3Council; appropriating money.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.5    Section 1. LESSARD OUTDOOR HERITAGE COUNCIL.
1.6    Subdivision 1. Expenses. Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 86B.706,
1.7subdivision 3, up to $150,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2009 from the water recreation
1.8account in the natural resources fund to the Legislative Coordinating Commission for
1.9the following expenses of the Lessard Outdoor Heritage Council: the administrative
1.10expenses of the Department of Natural Resources incurred after November 15, 2008;
1.11office expenses; and per diem, mileage, and lodging expenses of council members
1.12pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, section 97A.056, subdivision 2. If another fund has paid
1.13the expenses under this subdivision, this appropriation may be used to reimburse that
1.14fund. The expenses of the council reimbursed under this section must be made available
1.15in detail on the council's Web site. This appropriation is available until July 1, 2009.
1.16    Subd. 2. Transfer. By October 1, 2009, the commissioner of finance shall transfer
1.17an amount equal to the amount spent in fiscal year 2009 under the appropriation in
1.18subdivision 1 from the outdoor heritage fund to the water recreation account in the natural
1.19resources fund. The amount necessary to make the transfer is appropriated from the
1.20outdoor heritage fund. The transfer of funds must be completed before any other funds are
1.21expended from the outdoor heritage fund. This is a onetime appropriation.
1.22EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
