2E Relating to building codes, authorizing the commissioner of labor and
industry to enter into agreements with municipalities for plan review,
inspection, code administration and code enforcement on certain public and state
licensed facilities; providing for agreements for the inspection of certain
building improvement projects taking place at public and state licensed
facilities; specifying certain municipal fees; requiring municipality action on
code administration and enforcement and application to the state building code;
authorizing the commissioner to assist municipalities in the event of a natural
disaster; specifying statewide elevator code enforcement; establishing a
timeline for elevator code changes affecting existing elevators and related
devices; prohibiting mandatory fire sprinkler installation in certain
structures
