A bill for an act
relating to human services; reducing an appropriation to the commissioner of
human services if duplicate personal identification numbers have not been
addressed.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. CORRECTIVE PLAN TO ELIMINATE DUPLICATE PERSONAL
IDENTIFICATION NUMBERS.

(a) In fiscal year 2021, for any month in which the commissioner of human services has
not fully implemented the requirements in Laws 2019, First Special Session chapter 9,
article 7, section 45, the commissioner of management and budget must reduce the
appropriation in Laws 2019, First Special Session chapter 9, article 14, section 2, subdivision
5, by $158,000.

(b) In fiscal year 2022, for any month in which the commissioner of human services has
not fully implemented the requirements in Laws 2019, First Special Session chapter 9,
article 7, section 45, the commissioner of management and budget must reduce the
appropriation in Laws 2019, First Special Session chapter 9, article 14, section 2, subdivision
5, by $209,000.

(c) In fiscal year 2023, for any month in which the commissioner of human services has
not fully implemented the requirements in Laws 2019, First Special Session chapter 9,
article 7, section 45, the commissioner of management and budget must reduce the
appropriation in Laws 2019, First Special Session chapter 9, article 14, section 2, subdivision
5, by $199,000.

EFFECTIVE DATE.

This section is effective the day following final enactment.
