A bill for an act
relating to driver's licenses; establishing a minimum number of driver's license
testing locations; amending Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 171.13, by adding
a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 171.13, is amended by adding a subdivision
to read:

new text begin The commissioner must establish locations throughout the
state where an individual may take the knowledge test, skills or road test, or both. At a
minimum, the testing locations that are in operation on the effective date of this act must
remain open in the same city and must continue to offer the same tests and services that
were offered on that date.
