relating to the legislature; limiting the distribution of paper copies of legislative
materials; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 3.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin The house of representatives, the senate, and joint legislative commissions shall
distribute copies of bills, amendments, summaries, and other materials prepared by the
legislature electronically, and not in paper, to legislators and legislative staff. This applies
to committee hearings, floor sessions, and materials distributed to the offices of legislators
and legislative staff. This section does not limit distribution of print editions of Minnesota
Statutes and Laws of Minnesota to legislators and legislative staff who have requested
these materials in print.
