  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             appropriating money to the job skills partnership 
  1.3             board for certain employment programs in St. Paul. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; EMPLOYMENT PROGRAMS IN ST. 
  1.6   PAUL.] 
  1.7      $500,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.8   Minnesota job skills partnership board, for the biennium ending 
  1.9   June 30, 1997, for the purpose of funding the development and 
  1.10  implementation of a program by the city of St. Paul which 
  1.11  connects the economic development activities of the St. Paul 
  1.12  port authority with the city of St. Paul's employment and job 
  1.13  development programs.  This employment connection program shall 
  1.14  be administered by the port authority consistent with, and 
  1.15  subject to, the program requirements of the Minnesota job skills 
  1.16  partnership program.  The appropriation is available until 
  1.17  expended.
