  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to respite care for children; appropriating 
  1.3             money. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $200,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.7   commissioner of human services to be used for pilot projects for 
  1.8   respite care for children who are determined to be medically 
  1.9   fragile.  Two to four pilot projects shall be selected by the 
  1.10  department of human services and the department of health under 
  1.11  the federal grant which has been awarded to the state of 
  1.12  Minnesota.  This appropriation is available for the biennium 
  1.13  ending June 30, 1997.
