A bill for an act
relating to game and fish; authorizing a fee for
certain license applications; amending Minnesota
Statutes 2004, section 97A.485, by adding a
subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 97A.485, is
amended by adding a subdivision to read:

new text begin Credit card payment in person. new text end

new text begin (a) The
commissioner and agents of the commissioner may charge a fee of
$2.50 for credit card payment by an individual purchasing a
license under section 97A.475 in person.

new text begin (b) Fees collected by the commissioner must be deposited in
the game and fish fund.
new text end

new text begin (c) Fees collected by agents may be kept as a commission
for the credit card purchase.
