  1.3             floodplain management. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $140,000 in fiscal year 2004 and $140,000 in fiscal year 
  1.7   2005 are appropriated from the general fund to the board of 
  1.8   water and soil resources for a grant to Area II, Minnesota River 
  1.9   Basin Projects, Inc. for floodplain management.  If the 
  1.10  appropriation in either year is insufficient, the appropriation 
  1.11  in the other year is available to it.
