  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to agriculture; prohibiting importation of 
  1.3             certain agricultural products and food treated with 
  1.4             unapproved chemicals; proposing coding for new law in 
  1.5             Minnesota Statutes, chapter 17. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [17.89] [IMPORTATION BAN.] 
  1.8      No person may import into Minnesota produce, livestock, or 
  1.9   other food products that are sprayed, injected, or treated with 
  1.10  chemicals that are not approved for use on or in those products 
  1.11  by the United States Department of Agriculture.  The 
  1.12  commissioner shall establish a program to enforce this 
  1.13  prohibition.
