1.3Statutes 2006, section 357.17.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 357.17, is amended to read:
1.6357.17 NOTARIES PUBLIC.
1.7The maximum fees to be charged and collected by a notary public shall be as follows:
1.8(1) for protest of nonpayment of note or bill of exchange or of nonacceptance of
1.9such bill; where protest is legally necessary, and copy thereof,
$1 five percent of the fee
1.10established in section 357.021, subdivision 2, for recording a notary commission;
1.11(2) for every other protest and copy,
$1 five percent of the fee established in section
1.12357.021, subdivision 2, for recording a notary commission;
1.13(3) for making and serving every notice of nonpayment of note or nonacceptance of
1.14bill and copy thereof,
$1 five percent of the fee established in section 357.021, subdivision
1.152, for recording a notary commission;
1.16(4) for any affidavit or paper for which provision is not made herein,
$1 five percent
1.17of the fee established in section 357.021, subdivision 2, for recording a notary commission
1.18per folio, and 20 cents per folio for copies;
1.19(5) for each oath administered,
$1 five percent of the fee established in section
1.20357.021, subdivision 2, for recording a notary commission;
1.21(6) for acknowledgments of deeds and for other services authorized by law, the legal
1.22fees allowed other officers for like services;
2.1(7) for recording each instrument required by law to be recorded by the notary,
2.2$1 five percent of the fee established in section 357.021, subdivision 2, for recording
2.3a notary commission per folio.
