  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to retirement; changing contribution rates 
  1.3             for the local government correctional service plan; 
  1.4             amending Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 353E.03. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 353E.03, is 
  1.7   amended to read: 
  1.8      353E.03 [CORRECTIONAL SERVICE PLAN CONTRIBUTIONS.] 
  1.9      Subdivision 1.  [MEMBER CONTRIBUTIONS.] A local government 
  1.10  correctional service employee shall make an employee 
  1.11  contribution in an amount equal to 6.01 5.83 percent of salary. 
  1.12     Subd. 2.  [EMPLOYER CONTRIBUTIONS.] The employer shall 
  1.13  contribute for a local government correctional service employee 
  1.14  an amount equal to 9.02 8.75 percent of salary. 
  1.15     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.16     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment 
  1.17  and supersedes the changes made to Minnesota Statutes, section 
  1.18  353E.03, pursuant to Laws 2000, chapter 461, article 10, 
  1.19  sections 2 and 3.
