  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to human services; adjusting the maximum 
  1.3             efficiency incentive per diem payment for nursing 
  1.4             facility reimbursement; amending Minnesota Statutes 
  1.5             1994, section 256B.74, subdivision 3; repealing 
  1.6             Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 256B.431, subdivision 
  1.7             24.  
  1.8   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.9      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 256B.74, 
  1.10  subdivision 3, is amended to read: 
  1.11     Subd. 3.  [NURSING FACILITY REIMBURSEMENT.] For rate years 
  1.12  beginning on or after July 1, 1991 1995, the maximum efficiency 
  1.13  incentive per diem payment established annually under section 
  1.14  256B.431, subdivision 2b, paragraph (d), shall be increased to 
  1.15  $2.10 effective July 1, 1991, and $2.20 effective July 1, 1992, 
  1.16  and shall be indexed for inflation annually beginning July 1, 
  1.17  1993 1996, using Data Resources, Inc., forecast for change in 
  1.18  the nursing home market basket.  For the purpose of calculating 
  1.19  the efficiency incentive, the nursing home license surcharge 
  1.20  shall not be included as a cost in the other operating cost 
  1.21  category. 
  1.22     Sec. 2.  [REPEALER.] 
  1.23     Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 256B.431, subdivision 24, 
  1.24  is repealed.
