BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS.

new text begin The amounts in this section are appropriated from the general fund to the
commissioner of corrections in fiscal year 2009 for payment under Minnesota Statutes,
sections 3.738 and 3.739, of claims against the state for injuries suffered by and
medical services provided to persons injured while performing community service or
sentence-to-service work for correctional purposes or while incarcerated in a state
correctional facility.

new text begin $2,000 is appropriated from the general fund and $1,000 is appropriated from the
petroleum tank release cleanup fund to the commissioner of health in fiscal year 2009 as
full and final payment of the claim of Bernard D. and Nancy E. Baker, of Roseville,
Minnesota, as reimbursement of costs related to a mistaken order to search for an unsealed
well on their property.

new text begin $67,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of transportation
in fiscal year 2009 as full and final payment of the claim of John and Judith McEachran, of
Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, for costs related to restoration of their land.
