  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to human services; services for homeless 
  1.3             targeted youth; appropriating money. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; SUPPLEMENTAL GRANT FOR SERVICES 
  1.6   TO HOMELESS TARGETED YOUTH.] 
  1.7      $500,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.8   commissioner of human services for fiscal year 1999 for the 
  1.9   purposes of a grant to an organization that is presently 
  1.10  operating supervised safe houses with comprehensive supportive 
  1.11  services for homeless targeted youth under Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.12  section 256E.115, in two sites that are licensed under Minnesota 
  1.13  Rules, parts 9545.1400 to 9545.1500.  The grant must be used to 
  1.14  continue or maintain the provision of services at the two sites.
