A bill for an act
relating to state lands; adding to and deleting from state parks, state forests,
and recreation areas; providing for public and private sales and exchanges of
certain state lands; authorizing removal of certain land from the sustainable
forest incentive program; providing for disposition of certain proceeds from
tax-forfeited land sales in Itasca County; modifying prior sale provisions;
amending Laws 1999, chapter 161, section 31, subdivision 5, as amended; Laws
2005, chapter 161, section 19.

Laws 1999, chapter 161, section 31, subdivision 5, as amended by Laws 2004,
chapter 262, article 3, section 2, is amended to read:



Subd. 5. Survey. (a) Itasca county shall cause each lot to be surveyed by a licensed
surveyornew text begin , except that a survey is not required for Lots 11 and 12, Plat of Third River,
according to the plat of record in the Office of the Recorder for Itasca County

(b) The costs of survey shall be allocated by the county to the lots offered for sale
and the successful purchaser on each lot shall reimburse the county for the survey costs
allocated to the lot purchased. If no one purchases the lot, the county is responsible for the
survey costs. All surveying must be conducted by a licensed surveyor.

Sec. 6. new text begin PUBLIC SALE OF SURPLUS STATE LAND BORDERING PUBLIC
WATER; ANOKA COUNTY.

new text begin (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 92.45, the commissioner of natural

in paragraph (c).
