A bill for an act
relating to capital investment; appropriating money for park and trail
improvements in the city of Princeton; authorizing the sale and issuance of
state bonds.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin Appropriation. new text end

new text begin $274,230 is appropriated from the bond proceeds
fund to the commissioner of natural resources for a grant to the city of Princeton for park
and trail improvements in Riebe Park and Riverside Park. This appropriation includes
funding to demolish existing restrooms and to predesign, design, construct, furnish,
and equip ADA compliant restrooms, showers, and shelters at Riverside Park; acquire
and install a vault toilet in Riebe Park; upgrade storm water and sanitary sewers, water
lines, electric utilities, fixtures, and facilities in both parks; construct trails in both parks;
construct or renovate retaining walls, guard rails, picnic shelters, and signage in both
parks; pave the parking area in Riebe Park; and enlarge campsites in Riverside Park.
This appropriation is not available until the commissioner of management and budget
determines that at least $125,000 is committed to the project from nonstate sources.

new text begin To provide the money appropriated in this section from the
bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue
bonds of the state in an amount up to $274,230 in the manner, upon the terms, and with
the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the
Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
