relating to environment; directing the Environmental Quality Board to amend
rules relating to alternative urban areawide review.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin RULEMAKING; ALTERNATIVE URBAN AREAWIDE REVIEW.

new text begin The Environmental Quality Board shall amend Minnesota Rules, part 4410.3610,
subpart 7, to change the amount of time elapsed requiring an update to the review from
five years to ten years. The Environmental Quality Board may use the good cause
exemption under Minnesota Statutes, section 14.388, to adopt rules under this section, and
Minnesota Statutes, section 14.386, does not apply except as provided under Minnesota
Statutes, section 14.388.
