A bill for an act
relating to motor vehicles; prohibiting sale of illegally tinted motor vehicle
windows; amending Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 169.71, by adding a
subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 169.71, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

new text begin Prohibition of sale of glazing materials. new text end

new text begin No person shall apply, sell, or
offer for sale or use on any motor vehicle, windows or windshields that are composed of,
covered by, or treated with material that fails to comply with the provisions of subdivision
4. Violation of this subdivision is a misdemeanor.
