relating to housing; appropriating money to the Northland Foundation.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; NORTHLAND FOUNDATION.

new text begin $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of the Housing Finance Agency for a grant to Northland Foundation. Northland Foundation
may use the funds on expenditures authorized under Minnesota Statutes, section 462C.16,
subdivision 3, and on assisting local governments to establish local or regional housing trust
funds. Northland Foundation may award grants and loans to other entities to expend on
authorized expenditures under this section. This is a onetime appropriation and is available
until June 30, 2025.
