  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to redistricting; adjusting the boundary 
  1.3             between house districts 41A and 41B to correct an 
  1.4             error; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota 
  1.5             Statutes, chapter 2.  
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [2.444] [FORTY-FIRST DISTRICT.] 
  1.8      Subdivision 1.  [SENATE DISTRICT.] Senate district 41 
  1.9   consists of that district as described in the order of the 
  1.10  Minnesota Special Redistricting Panel in Zachman v. Kiffmeyer, 
  1.11  No. CO-01-160 (March 19, 2002). 
  1.12     Subd. 2.  [HOUSE DISTRICT.] Notwithstanding the order of 
  1.13  the Minnesota Special Redistricting Panel in Zachman v. 
  1.14  Kiffmeyer, No. CO-01-160 (March 19, 2002), senate district 41, 
  1.15  as described in that order, is divided into two house districts 
  1.16  as follows: 
  1.17     (a) House district 41A consists of house district 41A as 
  1.18  described in that order, except that it also includes the 
  1.19  portion of senate district 41 described as follows:  
  1.20     United States 2000 census blocks 270530240041003 and 
  1.21  270530240041004, which may be described as beginning at the 
  1.22  intersection of the south boundary line of house district 41A, 
  1.23  as described in that court order, and the east boundary line of 
  1.24  census block number 270530240041003, which intersection is 
  1.25  approximately the intersection of the west line of the 
  2.1   northbound lanes of York Avenue and the centerline of what would 
  2.2   be 72nd Street, if 72nd Street went through at that location; 
  2.3   then south along the east boundary line of that census block, 
  2.4   which line is approximately the west line of the northbound 
  2.5   lanes of York Avenue, until the northbound and southbound lanes 
  2.6   of York Avenue come together; then south along the centerline of 
  2.7   York Avenue to its intersection with the centerline of Parklawn 
  2.8   Avenue extended; then west along the centerline of Parklawn 
  2.9   Avenue to its intersection with the centerline of France Avenue; 
  2.10  then north along the centerline of France Avenue to the south 
  2.11  boundary line of house district 41A, as described in that court 
  2.12  order, which south boundary line is at approximately 72nd 
  2.13  Street; then east along the south boundary line of house 
  2.14  district 41A, as described in that court order, to the point of 
  2.15  beginning; the intent being to describe all of United States 
  2.16  2000 census blocks 270530240041003 and 270530240041004, and no 
  2.17  other area.  
  2.18     (b) House district 41B consists of that portion of senate 
  2.19  district 41 not included in house district 41A.  
  2.20     [EFFECTIVE DATE.] This section is effective the day 
  2.21  following final enactment.
