A bill for an act
 relating to retirement; modifying a Social Security
coverage provision for legislators; amending Minnesota
Statutes 2004, section 355.629, subdivision 3.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 355.629,
subdivision 3, is amended to read:


Subd. 3.

Deduction from wages.

A legislator who elects
Social Security coverage under this section shall have a
deduction taken from wages deleted text begin in an amount equal to the employer
and employee contributions required by either subdivision 1 or
deleted text end new text begin pursuant to section 355.03,new text end subdivision 2.
