A bill for an act
relating to economic development; appropriating money to the Latino Economic
Development Center.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin LATINO ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CENTER; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $950,000 in fiscal year 2022 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to the Latino Economic Development
Center. Of this amount, $500,000 shall be used to provide technical assistance and support
to small businesses and $450,000 shall be used for improvements to a building that will
operate as a small business incubator on Payne Avenue and serve other community uses.
Funds are available until June 30, 2023.
