  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing public sale of 
  1.3             certain tax-forfeited land that borders public water 
  1.4             in Norman county. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [PUBLIC SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING 
  1.7   PUBLIC WATER; NORMAN COUNTY.] 
  1.8      (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 
  1.9   282.018, subdivision 1, Norman county may sell the tax-forfeited 
  1.10  land bordering public water that is described in paragraph (c), 
  1.11  under the remaining provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 
  1.12  282. 
  1.13     (b) The sale must be in a form approved by the attorney 
  1.14  general. 
  1.15     (c) The land to be sold is located in Norman county and is 
  1.16  described as:  2.73 acres beginning at a point 26 rods North of 
  1.17  the northwest corner of the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest 
  1.18  Quarter; North 44 rods; East 19 rods; Southwest 48 rods to 
  1.19  beginning, Section 20, Township 146 North, Range 48 West. 
  1.20     (d) The county has determined that the county's land 
  1.21  management interests would best be served if the lands were 
  1.22  returned to private ownership.
