A bill for an act
relating to natural resources; requiring Minnesota Zoological Garden to provide
free admission on certain holidays; establishing fees; amending Minnesota Statutes
2018, section 85A.02, subdivision 17.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2018, section 85A.02, subdivision 17, is amended to read:


Subd. 17.

Additional powers.

Notwithstanding section 16A.1283, legislative approval is not required for the board to
establish a schedule of charges for admission or use of the Minnesota Zoological Garden
or related facilities. The board shall have a policy admitting elementary school children at
a reduced charge when they are part of an organized school activity

Labor Day, or Veterans Day; and

membership that admits the holder and the holder's family members for unlimited visits
during one year. The board may not charge more than $159 for a membership offered under
this paragraph.
