  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to human services; requiring the commissioner 
  1.3             of human services to waive the supervision requirement 
  1.4             for certain dental clinics; amending Minnesota 
  1.5             Statutes 1994, section 256B.04, by adding a 
  1.6             subdivision. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 256B.04, is 
  1.9   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.10     Subd. 18.  [DENTAL CLINIC SUPERVISION.] For purposes of 
  1.11  determining whether a dental clinic at a Minnesota college or 
  1.12  university outside of the seven-county metropolitan area, as 
  1.13  defined in section 473.121, subdivision 4, is eligible for 
  1.14  medical assistance payment, the commissioner shall waive the 
  1.15  requirement in Minnesota Rules, part 9505.0175, subpart 46, item 
  1.16  A, that a provider be present and available on the premises for 
  1.17  more than 50 percent of the time when a supervisee is providing 
  1.18  health services, as long as all other requirements for 
  1.19  supervision are met.
