1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to human services; allowing a group 1.3 residential supplemental rate for certain providers 1.4 serving chemically dependent or mentally ill persons; 1.5 amending Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 256I.05, 1.6 subdivision 1e. 1.7 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.8 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 256I.05, 1.9 subdivision 1e, is amended to read: 1.10 Subd. 1e. [SUPPLEMENTARY RATE FOR CERTAIN FACILITIES.] 1.11 Notwithstanding the provisions of subdivisions 1a and 1c, 1.12 beginning July 1, 1999, a county agency shall negotiate a 1.13 supplementary rate in addition to the rate specified in 1.14 subdivision 1,equal to 25 percent of the amountup to the 1.15 maximum supplementary service rate specified in subdivision1a1.16 1d, for a group residential housing provider that: 1.17 (1) is located in Hennepin county and has had a group 1.18 residential housing contract with the county since June 1996; 1.19 (2) operates in three separate locations a 56-bed facility, 1.20 a 40-bed facility, and a 30-bed facility; and 1.21 (3) serves a chemically dependent clientele, providing 24 1.22 hours per day supervision and limiting a resident's maximum 1.23 length of stay to 13 months out of a consecutive 24-month period.
