  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to natural resources; modifying the route of 
  1.3             Paul Bunyan state trail; amending Minnesota Statutes 
  1.4             1998, section 85.015, subdivision 15. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1998, section 85.015, 
  1.7   subdivision 15, is amended to read: 
  1.8      Subd. 15.  [PAUL BUNYAN TRAIL, CROW WING, CASS, HUBBARD, 
  1.9   AND BELTRAMI COUNTIES.] The trail shall originate in the city of 
  1.10  Baxter Crow Wing state park in Crow Wing county and shall extend 
  1.11  through the city of Baxter and in a northerly direction along 
  1.12  the Burlington Northern Railroad right-of-way, intersecting the 
  1.13  Heartland state trail southeast of the city of Walker in Cass 
  1.14  county.  The trail shall continue on the Heartland state trail 
  1.15  through the city of Walker, then in a northwesterly direction 
  1.16  along the Burlington Northern Railroad right-of-way to the city 
  1.17  of Bemidji in Beltrami county and there terminate in Lake 
  1.18  Bemidji state park.
