A bill for an act
 relating to transportation; requiring notice to secured party when certain vehicles
are dismantled or destroyed; amending Minnesota Statutes 2008, section
168A.153, subdivision 1.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 168A.153, subdivision 1, is amended to
read:


Subdivision 1.

Older model vehicle.

A dealer who buys an older model vehicle to
be dismantled or destroyed shall new text begin notify the secured party, if any, and shall new text end report to the
department within 30 days deleted text begin includingdeleted text end new text begin , and includenew text end the vehicle's license plate number and
identification numberdeleted text begin ,deleted text end and the seller's name and driver's license number.
