A bill for an act
proposing an amendment to the Minnesota Constitution by adding a section to
article I; providing for the right of the people to acquire, keep, possess, transport,
carry, transfer, and use arms including firearms, knives, or any other weapons and
ammunition, components, and accessories for these arms.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

An amendment to the Minnesota Constitution is proposed to the people. If the amendment
is adopted, a section shall be added to article I, to read:

The right of individuals to acquire, keep, possess, transport, carry, transfer,
and use arms including firearms, knives, or any other weapons and ammunition, components,
and accessories for the arms is fundamental and shall not be denied, infringed, or curtailed.
Any restriction must be subjected to strict scrutiny review. Registration, mandatory licensing,
special taxation, fees, or any other measure, regardless of type, manner, or purpose, that
suppresses or discourages the free exercise of the right is forbidden.

The proposed amendment must be submitted to the people at the 2022 general election.
The question submitted must be:
