A bill for an act
relating to capital investment; appropriating money for a renovation and expansion
of Alexandra House in the city of Blaine.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin $13,130,000 in fiscal year 2025 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to Alexandra House, a 501(c)(3)
nonprofit organization, to predesign, design, construct, renovate, furnish, and equip an
expansion and renovation of the Alexandra House facility in the city of Blaine to create
private unit living quarters for resident families, pet-friendly units for those with pets, and
to make other site renovations and improvements to administrative and common area spaces
and safety systems to support ongoing operations. This appropriation is onetime and is
available until the project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section
16A.642.
