  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing private sale of 
  1.3             certain tax-forfeited land in Lake county. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [PRIVATE SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND; LAKE 
  1.6   COUNTY.] 
  1.7      (a) Notwithstanding the public sale provisions of Minnesota 
  1.8   Statutes, chapter 282, or other law to the contrary, Lake county 
  1.9   may sell by private sale the tax-forfeited land described in 
  1.10  paragraph (c). 
  1.11     (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the 
  1.12  attorney general for consideration no less than the appraised 
  1.13  value of the land. 
  1.14     (c) The land to be sold is located in Lake county and is 
  1.15  described as:  the North 600 feet of the Westerly 150 feet of 
  1.16  the SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4, Section 24, Township 55 North, Range 9 
  1.17  West. 
  1.18     (d) The county has determined that the county's land 
  1.19  management interests would best be served if the lands were 
  1.20  returned to private ownership.
