A bill for an act
relating to transportation; designating a portion of marked U.S. Highway 169
between Marble and Mountain Iron as "Senator David J. Tomassoni Memorial
Cross Range Expressway"; amending Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 161.14,
by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 161.14, is amended by adding a subdivision
to read:

segment of marked U.S. Highway 169 from Itasca County State-Aid Highway 69 in the
city of Marble to Saint Louis County State-Aid Highway 7 in the city of Mountain Iron is
designated as "Senator David J. Tomassoni Memorial Cross Range Expressway." Subject
to section 161.139, the commissioner must adopt a suitable design to mark this highway
and erect appropriate signs.
