BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION FOR FOOD SHELF PROGRAMS.

new text begin $500,000 in fiscal year 2020 and $500,000 in fiscal year 2021 are appropriated from the
general fund to the commissioner of human services for food shelf programs under Minnesota
Statutes, section 256E.34. This appropriation is added to the base and may be used to
purchase proteins, fruits, and vegetables.
