  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to transportation; canceling appropriations 
  1.3             and reducing bond sale authorizations for light rail 
  1.4             transit.  
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATIONS AND AUTHORIZATION CANCELED.] 
  1.7      (a) The unspent part of the appropriation for the projects 
  1.8   in Laws 1998, chapter 404, section 17, subdivision 3, as 
  1.9   reappropriated in Laws 1999, chapter 240, article 2, section 9, 
  1.10  subdivision 3; and the unspent part of the appropriation in Laws 
  1.11  1999, chapter 240, article 1, section 9, subdivision 5, are 
  1.12  canceled.  
  1.13     (b) The bond sale authorizations for the appropriations for 
  1.14  which cancellations are made in paragraph (a) are reduced by the 
  1.15  amount of those cancellations. 
  1.16     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.17     Section 1 is effective the day after its final enactment.
