  1.3             help abate crop depredation by Canada geese. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $125,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.7   commissioner of natural resources to purchase emergency damage 
  1.8   abatement materials to prevent Canada geese from causing crop 
  1.9   depredation, subject to the requirements of Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.10  section 97A.028. 
  1.11     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.12     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
