A bill for an act
relating to commerce; authorizing off-sale intoxicating liquor sales on Sunday;
removing the statutory prohibition against certain sales of motor vehicles on
Sunday; amending Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 340A.504, subdivision 4;
repealing Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 168.275.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 340A.504, subdivision 4, is amended to
read:

Subd. 4.

Intoxicating liquor; off-sale.

No sale of intoxicating liquor may be made
by an off-sale licensee:

(1) on Sundays;

(2) before 8:00 a.m. or after 10:00 p.m. on Monday through Saturday;

(3) (2) on Thanksgiving Day;

(4) (3) on Christmas Day, December 25; or

(5) (4) after 8:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve, December 24.

EFFECTIVE DATE.

This section is effective the day following final enactment.

Sec. 2. REPEALER.

Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 168.275, is repealed effective the day following
final enactment.
