  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             proposing an amendment to the Minnesota Constitution, 
  1.3             article 1, by adding a section; affirming the 
  1.4             privilege of legal residents to take game and fish in 
  1.5             accordance with law and regulations. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT PROPOSED.] 
  1.8      An amendment to the Minnesota Constitution, article 1, by 
  1.9   adding a section, is proposed to the people.  If the amendment 
  1.10  is adopted, the section will read as follows: 
  1.11     Sec. 18.  All legal residents shall have the privilege of 
  1.12  taking game and fish in accordance with law and regulations.  No 
  1.13  new right is intended, nor any existing right impaired, by this 
  1.14  declaration. 
  1.15     Sec. 2.  [SUBMISSION TO VOTERS.] 
  1.16     The proposed amendment must be submitted to the people at 
  1.17  the 1998 general election.  The question submitted shall be: 
  1.18     "Shall the Minnesota Constitution be amended to declare a 
  1.19  privilege of legal residents to take game and fish in accordance 
  1.20  with law and regulations? 
  1.21                                     Yes .......
  1.22                                     No ........"
