  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to the compulsive gambling statewide 
  1.3             toll-free telephone number; requiring gambling 
  1.4             establishments to acknowledge that the statewide 
  1.5             toll-free compulsive gambling telephone number is paid 
  1.6             for with state funds; amending Minnesota Statutes 
  1.7             2002, section 245.98, by adding a subdivision. 
  1.8   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.9      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 245.98, is 
  1.10  amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.11     Subd. 6.  [STATEWIDE TOLL-FREE TELEPHONE NUMBER.] Gambling 
  1.12  establishments, as defined in section 256.9831, subdivision 1, 
  1.13  that display the statewide compulsive gambling toll-free 
  1.14  telephone number in advertisements or in gambling promotions 
  1.15  must acknowledge that the toll-free telephone number is paid for 
  1.16  in whole or in part with state funds.
