A bill for an act
 relating to veterans homes; authorizing certain commissary privileges; amending
Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 198.075.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 198.075, is amended to read:


198.075 MINNESOTA VETERANS HOME EMPLOYEES; EXCLUDED
FROM COMMISSARY PRIVILEGES.

No commissary privileges including food, laundry service, janitorial service, and
household supplies shall be furnished to any employee of the Minnesota veterans homes.
An employee of the Minnesota veterans homes who is mandated or volunteers to work a
second shift that is consecutive with a regularly scheduled shift shall be allowed one free
meal at the veterans home on the day of that extra shift.
