 relating to natural resources; requiring rulemaking to amend Mississippi River
management plan.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin RULE AMENDMENT; MISSISSIPPI RIVER MANAGEMENT PLAN.

new text begin The commissioner of natural resources shall amend the Mississippi River
management plan, Minnesota Rules, part 6105.0870, to permit the city of Dayton to
enact or amend local ordinances to comply with Minnesota Rules, parts 6120.2600 to
6120.3900, in lieu of the requirements of Minnesota Rules, chapter 6105, for the area
commonly known as the historic village of Dayton. The commissioner may use the good
cause exemption under Minnesota Statutes, section 14.388, subdivision 1, clause (3),
to adopt rules under this section.
