A bill for an act
relating to the Metropolitan Airports Commission; requiring the commission to
ensure equal access to TSA screening by all passengers; amending Minnesota
Statutes 2014, section 473.608, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2014, section 473.608, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

new text begin (a) Except as provided in paragraph
(b), the commission shall ensure all persons have equal access to Transportation Security
Administration security screening and must not allow anyone to establish an expedited
line for a specific category of passengers at an airport.

new text begin (b) The commission may allow special access to airport security screening for persons
with disabilities, as defined in section 363A.03, subdivision 12, or United States Code, title
42, section 12102. The commission may allow the Transportation Security Administration
to establish separate, expedited access to airport security screening for persons approved
under a prescreening program established by the Transportation Security Administration.
