A bill for an act
 relating to transportation; appropriating money for county state-aid highways and
municipal state-aid streets.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; COUNTY STATE-AID HIGHWAY FUND
BACKFILL.

new text begin $17,463,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of transportation for aid to counties. The commissioner must distribute the funds in the same
manner as provided for county state-aid highway fund apportionment under Minnesota
Statutes, section 162.07, except that the commissioner must exclude the deductions under
Minnesota Statutes, section 162.06.

new text begin $4,771,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of transportation for aid to statutory and home rule charter cities. The commissioner must
distribute the funds in the same manner as provided for municipal state-aid street fund
apportionment under Minnesota Statutes, section 162.13, except that the commissioner must
exclude the deductions under Minnesota Statutes, section 162.12.
