BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; NOISE BARRIER FOR ROGERS TORNADO
RELIEF.

new text begin $827,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of transportation
for fiscal year 2007 for predesign, design, and construction of a noise barrier erected along
marked Interstate Highway 94 adjacent to Rogers, Minnesota to provide substantial noise
reduction and to mitigate the effects of tree loss resulting from the Rogers tornado on
September 16, 2006. This is a onetime appropriation and is available until expended.
