  1.2             relating to technology; appropriating money for grants 
  1.3             to regional management information centers. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      Subdivision 1.  [OFFICE OF TECHNOLOGY.] The sum indicated 
  1.7   in this section is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.8   office of technology for the fiscal year designated. 
  1.9      Subd. 2.  [REGIONAL MANAGEMENT INFORMATION CENTERS.] For 
  1.10  grants to regional management information centers under 
  1.11  Minnesota Statutes 1996, section 121.935, for the transition 
  1.12  period in their technology uses and consolidation of processing 
  1.13  needs:  
  1.14       $  978,000     .....     1998 
  1.15     This appropriation is available until June 30, 1998.
