relating to state government; prohibiting the use of public funds for certain lawsuits
involving the state.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin USE OF PUBLIC FUNDS PROHIBITED; LAWSUITS OPPOSING
BORDER SECURITY.

new text begin Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, the attorney general may not access or expend
any public funds, including any funds appropriated to the attorney general by law, to support
costs associated with the state's participation in State of California et al. v. Donald J. Trump
et al., No. 3:19-cv-00872 (N.D. Calif.), filed February 18, 2019, or any future matter
challenging actions by the federal government to secure and protect the territorial borders
of the United States.
