  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to health; appropriating money to establish a 
  1.3             crisis intervention hotline. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [CRISIS INTERVENTION HOTLINE PILOT PROJECT.] 
  1.6      The commissioner of human services shall award a grant to 
  1.7   establish a crisis intervention hotline for the Hmong community 
  1.8   within the seven-county metropolitan area.  The hotline must 
  1.9   provide bilingual services.  The grant shall be used as start-up 
  1.10  funds for the hotline and for seeking matching funds from 
  1.11  nonstate sources. 
  1.12     Sec. 2.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.13     $200,000 is appropriated for the biennium ending June 30, 
  1.14  2001, from the general fund to the commissioner of human 
  1.15  services for the purpose of section 1.
