  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to agriculture; appropriating money for seed 
  1.3             potato inspection. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; SEED POTATO INSPECTION FUND.] 
  1.6      $.......  is appropriated to the commissioner of 
  1.7   agriculture from the general fund for the biennium ending June 
  1.8   30, 1999.  This amount must be credited to the seed potato 
  1.9   inspection fund and used for the administration and enforcement 
  1.10  of Minnesota Statutes, sections 21.80 to 21.92.  The 
  1.11  appropriation is to supplement the fees paid by seed potato 
  1.12  growers with an amount that is intended to offset cost overruns 
  1.13  on the construction of the new seed potato inspection facility 
  1.14  in East Grand Forks which were beyond the control and 
  1.15  responsibility of the seed potato growers.
