BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; 1854 TREATY AREA AGREEMENT.

$15,000,000 in fiscal year 2024 and $15,000,000 in fiscal year 2025 are appropriated
from the general fund to the commissioner of natural resources to carry out the agreement
ratified under Minnesota Statutes, section 97A.157. $9,950,000 of this appropriation is an
increase over the budget base first established in Laws 1988, chapter 525.
