  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to rulemaking; prohibiting the state high 
  1.3             school league or its board from adopting or enforcing 
  1.4             a rule or policy regulating nonschool competition by 
  1.5             students in individual sports; proposing coding for 
  1.6             new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 128C. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  [128C.06] [STUDENT ELIGIBILITY; NONSCHOOL 
  1.9   COMPETITION.] 
  1.10     Neither the board nor the league shall adopt or enforce a 
  1.11  rule or policy regulating nonschool competition by students in 
  1.12  individual sports. 
  1.13     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE; APPLICABILITY.] 
  1.14     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment 
  1.15  and applies to any rule or policy regulating nonschool 
  1.16  competition by students in individual sports adopted before, on, 
  1.17  or after that date.
